Bamboo appeal

Adelaide Zoo needs 40kg of bamboo to provide for Wang Wang and Funi’s diet each day. A 14 hectare plantation has been set up at Bolivar, which will grow five varieties of bamboo.  Luckily the Adelaide environment (hot summers and cold, wet winters) suits the growing conditions of many types of bamboo. However they are still looking for donations of either bamboo that is growing already, or a money donation where they will grow the bamboo for you and you can visit it before it is cultivated.
